MR · Moisture Resistant
The everyday sheet.
Water isn't really part of the plan.
- What it means
- The letters stand for moisture resistant. It is the common interior grade — the sheet most furniture in most homes is made from.
- Where it matters
- Bedroom wardrobes, study units, wall panelling, beds — anywhere the sheet lives its whole life indoors and dry.
- Water
- Water signal: 1 of 3 droplets.Dry rooms. Occasional humidity, not standing water.
- What to ask
- “Is this actually MR, and is it stamped?” Ask to see the grade mark on the sheet itself, not on the invoice.
"Is it waterproof?" — the honest answer
No plywood enjoys water. Some survive it. The grade on the sticker tells you how much water the glue was built to take, and nothing about how well the sheet was made.
